Whenever I feel disappointed I try to analyze why. And it's almost always because of one thing. I wanted things to go one way and they went another way entirely.
Sometimes I can fool myself into thinking I don't really care, but no matter how good of an actor I think I am, I can't stop that sinking sad feeling I get when things turn out differently. When someone hurts me because they're not who I thought, when a long hoped for dream turns out to suck in reality... when I discover yet again that I can't do everything exactly right.
Bleh.
